Can I use my sense of humour in the First Certificate Exam? Part 2

Can I use my sense of humour in the First Certificate Exam? Part 2

The Speaking Exam

Jenny, the examiner, asks you the following question. Answer with a long sentence.

1 ‘’…..And what do you enjoy doing in your free time?’’

My suggestion:

1  ‘’I really enjoy cooking, my family and pets’’

‘’err, I mean…… I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family and pets’’. (I don’t eat my family or pets!)

The question is saying to you…

USE A GERUND AFTER THE VERB ‘ENJOY’

The important thing is to use the correct grammatical construction.

I used my sense of humour to include 2 gerunds (cooking and spending).

The ‘confusion’ is funny, but the answer is completely correct.
